What I’m doing

Marc-Alexis dans un bureau, un cône de VLC en guise de chapeau.

Updated on , in Paris.

Work

  • Embedded developer intern at Kyber until early February: a bench that measures a screen’s latency, a robot dog, circuit boards.
  • After that, a fixed-term contract from mid-February to November, then the final year of my master’s as a work-study.
  • First year of a master’s in embedded systems at EFREI Paris.

Projects

  • This site, a PlayStation 2 console in HTML. It isn’t finished.
  • Monolithe, my own system for an e-ink reader, the Xteink X4 Pro.
  • spotify-terminal, to listen to Spotify in the terminal.
  • Stylite, my task manager: a server in Go, a terminal interface in Rust, an app in Svelte.
  • My computer, reconfigured from scratch on NixOS. It all fits in one repository.
  • A split keyboard I built, called Willy Wonka.

Learning

  • Rust, a little every day.
  • Chinese.
  • KiCad, to design circuit boards.

Away from the screen

  • I read.
  • Vipassana meditation.
